A woman's life: Never easy, never simple, never ending

A re-post of something I wrote 4 years ago... It's one of the main reason, sometimes, I don't like to celebrate my birthdays...

At the turn of 20,
He says that a woman's life is simple.
She only has to cook, stays at home and do housework, not mentioning the hardship of procreate n nuturing.
She looks at him and just smile.
She seeks for higher education, with a well paid job,
just to provide him with a comfortable lifestyle to live in.
To her, she wanted to give her best to him, her father.

At 25,
He asked her to marry him,
sealed with a promise that he would love her forever,
by a special one who would take care of her for eternalty.
She looks at him and just smile.
In her, she longed for someone to take care of her.
To her, he's the one.

At 27,
He told her he need a family,
a house filled with the joy of the little ones,
he wants to be a father.
She looks at him and just smile.
In her, career is her main focus for now.
To her, this is just another issue to be settle in the future.

At 29,
He told her that its either company or family,
her maternity leave would only further complicate things in the company.
She looks at him and just smile,
handing a letter of resignation.
In her, she is preparing for that little life.
To her, this scarifice is worthwhile, for he's her everything.

At 35,
He told her she would be taking a risk if she's considering to have the little one,
certain implications might occur since she is not young anymore,
and he could not garantee the safety of the big one too.
She looks at him and just smile.
She told him she will like to try, no matter what.
To her, at this point in time,
having a baby makes woman whole and the family a complete one.

For the whole nine months,
She hanged on....
It was tough but she didn't say anything.

At 39,
He told her with joys of tears, he's a father now.
She looked at them and just smile.
There's nothing in the world that melts your heart when u see them together.
In her, she wants to give everything she could to the little one.
To her, her family becomes the main focus.
She rotates around her family, showering them with care and concern.

For the rest of her life,
she devoted everything,
just to make sure they are well taken care of.

A Woman's life.
Never easy. Never simple. Never ending.
In life, one is born out of another's suffering.
Today marks the suffering of a woman somewhat 19 years ago.
For this very day, we shall celebrate mothers' day.

To all mothers, Happy birthday.
We thank you for all that you have done.
